8 Lazy Girl Beauty Game Changers

8 Lazy Girl Beauty Game Changers

So being a girl living in a culture of busy, but yet still expected to look put together along the way I've really tried to give a balanced sense of harmony to both sides of the equation called life. Aka I don't want my grooming process to get in the way of any of my productivity and responsibilities I have planned for the day ahead. Sometimes getting ready and looking good just feels like it can be a time and money suck.

There are a few simple steps I can sometimes forget to add in my routine that can actually be optimizing my beauty routine with products that have a bigger payoff than their initial appeal. What I'm talking about it easy steps that make you look better faster. So here is to looking good at the cost of saving time and energy

I'll start with skin first, I'm a huge believer in the fact that if your skin doesn't look right your makeup will not shine bright like the pretty penny you spent on it. Some people are just blessed with "holy skin" genes, and the rest of us well we have to work to keep up with their level of glowiness. A few ways I like to keep my skin in its freshest condition is to...

Exfoliate:

Exfoliating will shed that layer of skin that is keeping you from that glow you've been pinning for. Exfoliation helps my makeup lay more evenly on my skin. I have two favorite products I like to use for this. I love glycolic acid, I use it in the form of pads by PIXI "Glow Tonic To-Go" exfoliating toner pads and another favorite is Salicylic Acid I use Paula's Choice "Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid. I use one or the other during the day, the other at night. I use these after toning my skin.

Face masks:

Masks give my skin a bit more bounce and plumpness. I love the extra boost of radiance my skin can get from a mask treatment after a long week of work. I personally love any of Dr. Jarts masks, Egg Cream Masks for Firming, and Shiseido's Wrinkle Resist Eye Masks.

Vitamin C:

I wouldn't skip over this step if you want your skin to look evenly toned and to have luminosity and brightness. I have two favorites that I use one is for an everyday use Paula's Choice "RESIST C15 Super Boost" and a 3x's a week treatment by Aesop "B & C Facial Balancing Gel".

Face Sculpting stone:

This is a new one, not too many people have touched on this ritual so all results have been first-hand experience. This is pretty much like "yoga/pilates" for your face. It is a rose quartz stone shaped like a butterfly and it is designed to drain toxins from the Lymph Nodes in your face thus resulting in a less puffy face. I rely on the procedure for my under eyes, they tend to retain a lot of fluid in the morning, it sucks because of the eyebags it creates! but if I stay inhabit with my face sculpting stone in the AM and PM I have fewer signs of eyebags to cover up with concealer in the morning.

Hair Styling Products:

I hate doing my hair, one reason being is I hate the look of limp, freshly washed hair I tend to favor the look of 2nd-day hair but when I do put time into styling it I always need these two products. R&CO Aircraft mouse is great at bringing back that texture to my hair after it's been freshly washed. Oribe "Dry Texturizing Spray" is another holy grail to style my hair with, sometimes I can rely on solely on it to make my hair look styled if I don't have time to run a curling iron through it.

Eye Lash Curler:

It's such a simple step that I can even overlook. Sometimes all you need is a good curl to open up those ojoes! Shu Umera has the #1 great eyelash curler in the game.

Flesh toned eye pencil:

Another fast track tool to bigger and brighter eyes is a light yellow or light pink eye pencil in the waterline or inner tear ducks (in the pastel range). It brightens my eyes and makes me look fresher and well slept, it can be a happy fix to a lazy girls makeup.

Gloss:

You know I love my gloss stains, it's probably one of the main products I will always grab when I know I want a simple but pretty and put together look. It's the essence to my lazy girl chic look! There are a few brands that carry this type gloss stain, but YSL has me coming back for more with their beautiful color range and perfect silky texture.
